Natural Tunnel Events
If you want to view the spectacular beauty of Scott County, then sign up for a wild cave tour or a hayride at Natural Tunnel State Park.
This Saturday at 2 p.m. you can take a walk on the wild side by reserving your spot for the cave tour. Reservations are required and available spaces fill up very quickly.

If touring a cave is a little too strenuous, then hop on board for a Fincastle Pike Hayride. Slated for Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. participants get an enjoyable look at the fall colors while learning some local history.
The cost is $3 per person or $8 per immediate family. Groups may also book alternative dates for $50.

Tremble at the Tunnel
Youngsters can enjoy some tricks and treats at Natural Tunnel State Park on Oct. 28.
Children are invited to see what Dr. Jekyll has in store for them in his lab, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at the amphitheater. A costume contest follows at 5 p.m. with goblins, ghosts, games and treats.
Parents are asked to register children three days prior to the event to ensure enough pumpkins for decorating. For information, call 940-2674 or 940-1643.
Spooky native stories will be spun by storytellers at the Carter Cabin beginning at 7 p.m. and continuing hourly until 10 p.m. Be sure and watch your step as you enter the Haunted Forest at Natural Tunnel State Park.

Fincastle Turnpike Driving Loop
The inaugural run of the driving tour, which is a Jamestown 2007 Legacy Project for the Scott County 2007 Committee, jump starts Sunday, Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. at Eastman Credit Unions Gate City office.
The Fincastle Loop Driving Tour features stops at historic sites in Scott County including Kilgore Fort House, Bush Mill, Dungannon, Ft Blackmore, Rye Cove, Wilderness Road Blockhouse and more.
Antique cars, politicians, historians, re-enactors and more are expected to attend the kick-off event.
