Local Man Arrested on Credit Card Fraud

An East Carters Valley man has been arrested on credit card fraud charges and faces extradition to Tennessee on similar charges.

Anthony Lee Bledsoe, 29, of 535 Spring Valley Circle, Gate City was arrested Aug. 29 by Scott County Sheriff's Deputies in connection with some past charges involving credit cards.

He had been wanted by Scott County authorities on two felony counts of credit card fraud and one felony count of credit card theft. Bledsoe was also wanted by Kingsport (Tenn.) Police Department for forgery, identity theft and fraudulent use of a debit card.
According to the Scott County Sheriff's Office, authorities executed a search warrant Aug. 29 at Bledsoe's home to locate the suspect and look for evidence.

He was arrested at the scene and deputies recovered evidence of other crimes including drug use.

Additional charges are expected to be placed against Bledsoe. He is currently housed in the Southwest Regional Jail in Duffield in lieu of $10,000 secured bond and awaits extradition proceedings back to Tennessee.
