Student achievement improved during 2013-2014 on challenging mathematics Standards of Learning (SOL) tests first introduced three years ago, the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) reported last week. Scott County student followed the statewide trend in mathematics tests by posting a 4 point passing rate division-wide. Seventy-nine percent passed the updated mathematics tests in the county. …
