In Honor of Veterans

Carter Frazier, a decorated World War II soldier, plays a patriotic medley of songs on his harmonica at the Gate City Veterans Day Program held at Grogan Park. Gate City Mayor Mark Jenkins holds the microphone for Frazier as he plays his stirring rendition of "God Bless America." The event was sponsored by the American Legion Post No. 265, Town of Gate City, Overmountain Men Chapter Sons of the American Revolution, Carter's Fort Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, Elijah Cross II Chapter USD 1812 and Scott County Horse Association.
