Marathon Ministry, headquartered in Castlewood, is distributing some special items during this weekend's Clinch Mountain MusicFest. They will be available on Friday, June 12, from 6 to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, June 13 starting at 10 a.m.
They will be distributing new young children's shirts, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Children must be present to receive the items.
They will also be giving away free blankets to those in need. The ministry will have a "dollar table" and other Christian gift available for donations.
"We are blessed to be able to give help to families with children in these times of financial difficulty," said Marathon founder and president, the Rev. Philip K. Cooper. "We thank God we can help needy families in the region as we serve Jesus."
Donors are welcome.
