Sheriff’s Office Arrests Several on Drug Charges

Local law enforcement officers picked up three persons in connection with drug charges and eradicated a valuable marijuana crop in the Fairview section of Scott County .
Scott County Sheriff John Puckett reported that on Tuesday, May 19 Scott County Sheriff's Deputies along with representatives of the Southwest Virginia Drug Task Force (SWVADTF) seized a 263-marijuana plant growing operation in Fairview . The estimated street value of the plants ranges between $500,000 and $700,000.
Sheriff's deputies and members of the drug task force busted a Duffield man and a Church Hill, Tenn. woman during a narcotics bust on Monday, May 18. Mark Gilliam, 39, of Duffield was arrested for the distribution of Schedule II drugs (Percocet). He was also charged with possession of Schedule IV drugs (Xanax) and conspiracy to distribute Schedule II narcotics.
Rhonda Guillot, 49, of Church Hill was arrested and charged with conspiracy to distribute Schedule II narcotics. Officers seized 192 Percocet tablets during the bust, which tallies to a street value of $1,152.
Scott County deputies arrested two other local persons last Friday, May 15 on distribution charges stemming from a traffic stop in East Carter's Valley. Puckett said the two, Josh Rose, 29, of Kingsport, Tenn. and his mother, Lisa Rose, 49, of Duffield, were arrested on charges ranging from possession of Schedule IV and V drugs to distribution of Schedule IV, V drugs.
Josh Rose was charged with DUI, driving on a revoked license, possession of Schedule IV drug (Ativan) with intent to distribute and possession of Schedule V drug (Soma) with intent to distribute.
His mother was arrested for possession of Schedule IV drug (Ativan) with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule V drug (Soma) with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule III drug (LorTab) and possession of Schedule IV drug (Valium).
Deputies seized more than $800 in connection with the drugs.
