With more than 100 years of continuous service to the Scott County community, the Scott County Virginia Star has a weekly readership of over 21,000 loyal readers in Scott County and the surrounding area. The Scott County Virginia Star was founded in 1902, and has consistently placed among the 3 largest weekly papers within the state of Virginia.

The paper is published on Wednesdays, and the web site is updated on Wednesday as well. Deadline for submissions is Monday at 5 PM.
