Library volunteers participated in Saturday’s Clinch Mountain Summer Celebration by “yarn bombing” the exterior of the Scott County Public Library. According to branch manager Stephanie Griffin, yarn bombing is a form of graffiti using knitted and crocheted pieces to cover outdoor spaces. The crochet class at the library and local folks donated items to be included in the display.

Carole Fuller recorded a hole in one during the Big Blue Booster’s Golf Tournament on Sunday, June 12 at Scott County Park & Golf Course. The ace occurred on Hole No. 2, with Fuller using her pitching wedge to score the 95-yard shot. Witnesses were Andrea Thomas, J.B. Hunt and Kiki Hunt.
