Ruby Robinette turned 89 years old on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Her birthday was celebrated on Sunday, April 21 with an afternoon birthday party at the home of one of her daughters, Kathy Robinette Lawson Qualls. Her five children and three of her grandchildren were present. Her siblings and a host of family and friends helped in this great celebration.

Kilby Spencer & the Crooked Road Ramblers – an old time band present a special concert Saturday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Carter Family Fold in Hiltons. Admission to the concert is $10 for adults, $2 for children 6 to 11, under age 6 free. Tickets are available at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m.
