Saturday Celebration

Saturday was a great time to visit Scott County and join the funtastic celebration in Nickelsville at the 30th annual Nickelsville Days or in Gate City at the Jeep Jam. Youngsters of all ages including patriotic children and a princess enjoyed the day’s activities.

Medical Scholarship

John Ferguson, president of the Nick­elsville Medical Center Board of Directors, presents a $1,000 scholarship award to Kat­lin Castle at the Twin Springs High School Awards Day. Castle, the daughter of Stacy and Heather Castle, plans to attend Moun­tain Empire Community College this fall then transfer to Lincoln Memorial University to pursue a medical degree.
