Somewhere Over the Rainbow
A unique light show over the weekend displayed a rainbow that appeared even though there wasn’t any rainfall in sight. The phenomenon known as cloud iridescene occurs due to diffraction from many small water droplets that individually scatter light and appear as a rainbow.
